John Arabolos:
Photographic/Digital Printmaking

The artwork of John Arabolos is about the investigation of our natural world and the way we perceive and relate to it. It not only has to do with the process of conceiving ideas and creating, but also about the metaphysical act of experiencing and becoming. Arabolos' artwork brings the observer to the phenomenological brink or edge where abstraction becomes subjective and identifiable. Arabolos creates large to small scale UV protected photographic/ digital/prints mounted on a vinyl coated aluminum "diabond" substrate with a white 1" metal poster frame mounted in the rear and recessed 2" to 3" from the edges of the work. This gives the work a sense of floating on the wall and supports the unconfined infinite quality of the image.
